    Lecture and Q & A in bookstore Scheltema

    During the 2025 bookweek, sculptor and author Lotta Blokker will visit Scheltema on Sunday afternoon, March 23 at 2 p.m. to talk about her latest book IJsvogel, a special debut. The characters' lives are uniquely intertwined in this refined and profound novel about unattainable love.
     
    After the lecture there will be a Q&A where attendees can ask Lotta questions. Afterwards, Lotta will sign her latest book. Be Welcome!

    Lotta Blokker lecture
    Sculptor and writer Lotta Blokker, Artist of the Year 2022, will be present during the National Art Days. She will talk about her sculptures and the creation of her just published debut novel IJSVOGEL on Saturday and Sunday at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. After her lecture there will also be an opportunity to ask questions and a signing session with the artist. This lecture is free to attend, but you must select a day and time. This can be done via step 2 in the ticket shop below.

    LOTTA BLOKKER - BEELDEN

    Lotta Blokker raakte de afgelopen jaren gefascineerd door afbeeldingen die op exemplarische wijze onrecht en verdriet tonen, zo krachtig dat ze het symbool worden van menselijk leed. Foto’s die de grote historische wreedheden in één beeld lijken te vangen, die iedereen kent. Ze vormen de inspiratiebron voor haar werk in de tentoonstelling BEELDEN.
    Geconfronteerd met haar machteloosheid om iets aan dit leed te doen probeert Lotta Blokker met haar beelden, die wel lijken te ademen, de tijd stil te laten staan, of misschien zelfs terug te draaien. BEELDEN gaat over mensen, slachtoffers, maar ook over de helende kracht van kunst.

    The Hour of the Wolf in Recklinghausen

    Während der Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen, eines der größten Theaterfestivals von Europa, sind in der Kirche St. Peter die Skulpturen aus der Serie Die Stunde des Wolfs zu sehen. Die Ausstellung entstand in  Zusammenarbeit mit der TelefonSeelsorge Recklinghausen.
